KiMs Danske Franske Kartofler

KiMs is an iconic Danish brand of snacks and chips, originally established by the Odense Marzipan Factory in 1961. The 'Danske Franske Kartofler' shown here are classic salted potato chips, which are deeply ingrained in Danish food culture, particularly as a traditional accompaniment to Christmas dinner. The packaging highlights that the potatoes are sourced from Danish potato growers and seasoned with Mariager Sydesalt, a specialty salt from Denmark.

While the brand is fundamentally Danish in identity and production, its ownership has transitioned through major mergers. For several decades, KiMs has been a part of the Orkla Group. Most production for the Danish market takes place at KiMs' large factory in Søndersø on the island of Funen, ensuring that the 'Danske' (Danish) label remains accurate to both source and manufacture.
