Morrisons, officially Wm Morrison Supermarkets Limited, is one of the 'Big Four' supermarket chains in the United Kingdom. Founded by William Morrison in 1899, it began as a simple egg and butter stall in Bradford. The ultimate corporate control now resides in the United States through its parent company, CD&R, marking a significant shift in its historical corporate governance structure.
