Tim Hortons is an iconic Canadian brand best known for its coffee and doughnuts. Since its founding in 1964, it has become a central cultural symbol in Canada. Recently, the brand has expanded its beverage portfolio to include specialty coffee options like espresso, often served in the signature blue and white cups seen in the image, featuring the distinctive white maple leaf logo.
While the brand is fundamentally Canadian in identity, the manufacturing of its products involves a global supply chain. Its coffee beans are typically sourced from premium growing regions in South and Central America, while the paper packaging and cups are manufactured through various regional vendors across North America and beyond based on the location of the franchise.
Starting in 2014, the ownership of Tim Hortons changed significantly when it merged with Burger King to form Restaurant Brands International (RBI). This move placed the quintessential Canadian brand under a multinational umbrella headquartered in Toronto, but with significant international investment. Today, RBI manages Tim Hortons alongside other global giants like Burger King, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs.
