União Sugar Sachet

União is Brazil's most iconic and traditional sugar brand, easily recognized by its bright yellow packaging and the 'Vovó' (Grandmother) logo silhouette visible on the sachet. The product shown is a 5-gram sachet of white crystal sugar, predominantly used in coffee shops and restaurants across Brazil.

Founded in 1910 by the merging of several small refineries, the brand has maintained market leadership for over a century. Since 2012, União has been a key part of the Camil Alimentos portfolio. Camil, a Brazilian multinational food giant, acquired the brand from Cosan as part of its strategy to diversify its grain-based business. Most production remains localized within Brazil to supply the vast domestic consumption.
