Jägermeister is a world-renowned German herb liqueur first invented in 1934 by Curt Mast in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. The recipe consists of 56 different herbs, blossoms, roots, and fruits, which are aged in oak barrels for one year. The brand's iconic logo features a stag with a glowing cross between its antlers, a tribute to Saint Hubertus and Saint Eustace, the patron saints of hunters.

Today, Jägermeister remains purely a German-made product. All production, including the maceration of the botanicals and the bottling process, is concentrated in the town of Wolfenbüttel, Lower Saxony. The brand has expanded its global presence significantly, becoming one of the most exported German spirits found in over 150 countries.

The brand is owned by the family-run company Mast-Jägermeister SE. Unlike many other major spirits brands that have been acquired by large global conglomerates, Jägermeister has remained independent and is currently steered by the descendants of the founder, ensuring that the original traditions and secret recipe are preserved into 2026 and beyond.
