Midas is one of the world's largest providers of automotive services, specializing in brake, tire, exhaust, steering, and suspension services. The brand originated in 1956 in Macon, Georgia, USA, founded by Nate Sherman as Midas Muffler. It quickly became synonymous with exhaust systems before expanding its service catalog to include full car maintenance.

While the brand started in the United States, its global footprint is managed through different corporate structures. The North American operations are part of the TBC Corporation, whereas the international operations (specifically in Europe, South America, and Africa) were acquired by the French Mobivia Group. For markets outside North America, such as Spain, the service and brand management are headquartered in France.
