The brand was originally developed by Golden Wonder and was manufactured at their site in Crumlin, South Wales. Over the decades, it has become one of the most recognisable quick-meal brands in the UK, known for its distinctive pot packaging and humorous advertising campaigns.

Today, Pot Noodle is owned by Unilever, one of the world's largest consumer goods companies. The majority of production continues to take place at the historic Crumlin factory in Wales, which oversees the distribution to supermarkets across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
