Amrut Fusion Single Malt Whisky

Amrut Fusion is a flagship expression from Amrut Distilleries, widely credited with pioneering the world-class Indian single malt category. Launched in 2009, this whisky is unique for its 'fusion' of two types of barley: 75% unpeated Indian barley from the foot of the Himalayas and 25% peated Scottish barley.

Both types are distilled and aged separately in oak barrels in Bangalore, India, where the high altitude and tropical climate significantly accelerate the maturation process compared to traditional Scotch. The distillery remains a family-owned enterprise, maintaining its independence and commitment to traditional production methods since its founding in 1948 by Shri J.N. Radhakrishna.
