Bakalland is a prominent Polish brand specializing in high-quality dried fruits, nuts, and seeds. The product shown, Rodzynki sułtańskie (Sultana raisins), is a staple in the brand's extensive portfolio of healthy snacks and baking ingredients. Historically, Bakalland was founded in Poland and grew to become a market leader in the dried fruit and nut sector.
In terms of manufacturing, while the branding and packaging processes are centered in Poland at their specialized production facilities, the agricultural raw materials—such as these raisins—are sourced globally from regions optimal for grape cultivation, including Turkey or Iran, and then processed in Poland.
Ownership of the brand has evolved significantly. Previously a publicly traded company on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Bakalland underwent a major consolidation. It is currently owned by FoodWell (formerly resulting from a merger of Bakalland and Purella Superfoods), which is backed by the investment fund ORENO Ventures. The brand remains a Polish-led enterprise with its headquarters remaining in Warsaw, Poland.
