Lidl product lineup

Lidl is one of the world's leading discount retail groups, originating in Germany. The brand has grown from a local grocery wholesaler into a global powerhouse, operating thousands of stores across Europe and the United States. Lidl is known for its efficient business model and high percentage of private-label goods.

While the brand itself is German, its products are manufactured in multiple countries. Lidl sources fresh produce locally in each market it operates in, while its private-label non-perishable goods and textiles are manufactured globally in countries ranging from Poland and Germany to Turkey and Vietnam.

Ownership of the brand remains private. It is part of the Schwarz Group, a family-owned multinational retail group that also owns the hypermarket chain Kaufland. The Schwarz Group is currently the largest European retailer and one of the largest in the world by revenue.
