Telefunken Refrigerator

Telefunken is a historic brand originally established in Germany in 1903 as a joint venture between Siemens & Halske and AEG. Over the decades, it became a pioneer in radio and television technology. In the late 20th century, following the decline of its original industrial parent companies, the brand was transformed into a licensing model.

Today, the Telefunken brand is owned by the Telefunken Licenses GmbH, but the manufacturing and distribution of specific product lines, such as household appliances (refrigerators, washing machines), are handled by various global partners under license. In the European market, particularly in Spain and neighboring regions, major Turkish appliances manufacturer Vestel is often responsible for the production and distribution of Telefunken-branded large appliances. Consequently, manufacturing typically occurs in large-scale facilities in Turkey or China, depending on the specific model and regional distribution strategy.
