The Siemens EQ.6 plus s100 is a high-end fully automatic espresso machine designed for home use. The Siemens brand traces its roots back to Berlin, Germany, founded by Werner von Siemens in 1847. While the brand is historic in the electronics and engineering sectors, its home appliances division has a unique ownership structure.
Originally a joint venture between Siemens AG and Robert Bosch GmbH known as BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH, the brand's appliance operations are now entirely under the stewardship of Bosch. In 2015, Bosch acquired Siemens' 50% stake in the joint venture, making BSH a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bosch Group. Despite this change in ownership, the Siemens brand name continues to be used under a long-term license agreement for a wide range of kitchen appliances.
Manufacturing for these coffee machines is primarily centered in Europe, specifically at BSH's specialized production facilities in Slovenia, which handle much of the global supply for the premium espresso machine lineups. The brand remains a symbol of German engineering and innovation in the home appliance market.
