The brand specializes in Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, which is protected by a PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status, ensuring it is produced according to strict traditional methods in its home region.

The history of Mazzetti traces back to the years following World War II, when the family began producing high-quality vinegar. Today, the manufacturing process continues to take place in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy, leveraging the local climate and specific grape varieties like Lambrusco and Trebbiano to create their signature thick, sweet, and tangy glazes.

In terms of ownership, the brand saw a major shift in 2015 when it was acquired by the Associated British Foods (ABF) group. Mazzetti is now managed under ABF’s Acetum division, which is recognized as one of the world's leading producers of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
