Aurum Especial Lager Beer

Aurum is a private label brand of beer primarily sold by the Spanish supermarket chain Eroski. The brand was developed to offer a competitive, high-quality alternative to traditional brewery brands within the Spanish market. The 'Especial' variant is a classic European lager characterized by a slightly higher alcohol content (typically 5.6%) compared to standard session lagers.

While Aurum is an Eroski brand, the manufacturing is frequently outsourced to major Spanish breweries. Traditionally, the production of Aurum beers has been linked to Font Salem, a subsidiary of the Damm Group, which specializes in private label production. This allows the product to benefit from large-scale industrial brewing expertise while maintaining the retail chain's proprietary branding. As a private label, its ownership remains tied to the Eroski Group, a major distribution cooperative headquartered in the Basque Country of Spain.
