Sumol Ananás (Pineapple) soft drink

Sumol is an iconic Portuguese brand of fruit-flavored carbonated soft drinks, first launched in 1954. It was the first pasteurized fruit juice drink to be carbonated in Portugal, which allowed it to be preserved without the need for artificial additives. The brand became a cultural staple in its home country, recognized for its green glass bottles and its distinct recipe that includes actual fruit pulp.

Historically, the brand was developed by Refrige and the Sumol Group. Today, it is a flagship brand of the Sumol+Compal group, which was formed through the merger of two major Portuguese beverage companies. While the brand is exported to over 60 countries across Europe, Africa, and the Americas, primarily for Portuguese diaspora communities, the main production facilities remain located in Portugal, specifically in the Vila Franca de Xira region.
