Völkl is one of the most prestigious names in the skiing world, with a history dating back to 1923 when Franz Völkl first began producing skis in Straubing, Germany. For over a century, the brand has been synonymous with German engineering and performance, maintaining its primary high-end manufacturing facility in Straubing, which is regarded as one of the most advanced ski production plants in the world.

While the brand remains deeply rooted in its Bavarian heritage, its corporate ownership has evolved. In 2004, Völkl was acquired by K2 Sports, which eventually became part of the Jarden Corporation. In 2017, Kohlberg & Company acquired the Newell Brands winter sports division, which included Völkl, and integrated it into the Elevate Outdoor Collective. Today, Völkl continues to lead the market with innovations like the Revolt and Mantra series, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern performance technology.
