Seabrook Crisps is a quintessentially British brand that tracing its origins back to 1945. It was founded by Mr. Charles Brook in Bradford, West Yorkshire, who named the company by combining his last name with the 'Sea' from his first initial to create the iconic 'Seabrook' identity. The brand is particularly well-known for pioneering the crinkle-cut potato chip and for being the first to use sunflower oil for frying its snacks.
Over the decades, Seabrook grew from a local favourite into a major national brand while maintaining its manufacturing base in Bradford. In 2018, the company underwent a significant ownership change when it was acquired by the multinational snack food group Calbee. Today, the brand remains a staple of the UK snack market, celebrated for its bold flavours and traditional crinkle-cut texture, with its primary production still taking place in its historic home of West Yorkshire.
