União Extraforte Coffee

União is one of Brazil's most historic and recognized brands, traditionally famous for its sugar. Founded in 1910 by the Companhia União dos Refinadores, the brand expanded its portfolio into the coffee market to leverage its strong household presence.

The coffee production is centered in Brazil, taking advantage of the country's status as the world's largest coffee producer. While the brand originated as part of a Brazilian cooperative effort to stabilize the sugar market, its ownership has transitioned through major global players. Today, União (including its coffee and sugar lines) is owned by Camil Alimentos, a giant in the Latin American food sector that acquired the brand from Cosan in 2012.
