Moulinex is a legendary French brand that has been a staple in kitchens since the early 20th century. Founded by Jean Mantelet in Alençon, France, the brand revolutionized home cooking with the invention of the 'Mouli-légumes,' a hand-cranked food mill designed to mash vegetables. Over the decades, Moulinex became synonymous with high-quality, innovative French design in small household appliances, facilitating the democratization of electric kitchen tools throughout Europe.
In 2001, following financial difficulties, Moulinex was acquired by Groupe SEB, a French global leader in the small domestic equipment industry. Today, while the engineering and premium production of many Moulinex products remain rooted in France to maintain the brand's heritage, a significant portion of its mass-market manufacturing is carried out in China and other global facilities to serve international markets. The brand continues to focus on ease of use and modern culinary technology under the umbrella of its parent company, Groupe SEB.
