Netafim was founded in 1965 in Israel and is recognized as the global pioneer and leader in drip and micro-irrigation solutions. The brand was developed by Simcha Blass and the engineers at Kibbutz Hatzerim to provide water-efficient technology in arid environments.

In 2017, a major stake in Netafim was acquired by the multinational Orbia (formerly Mexichem), which now serves as the ultimate owner.
