Founded in 1999 by three friends in London, innocent began its journey after a successful trial selling smoothies at a music festival. The brand is well-known for its quirky marketing and commitment to sustainability, emphasizing healthy, fruit-based drinks with no added sugar.
While the brand was originally a British startup, it is now part of the global portfolio of The Coca-Cola Company, following a series of acquisitions that began in 2009 and concluded with full ownership in 2013. Production primarily takes place at 'the blender,' their high-tech manufacturing site in the Port of Rotterdam, though packaging and distribution occur across several European locations to serve different markets.
The headquarters remain in London, in a building affectionately known as 'Fruit Towers.' Under Coca-Cola's stewardship, innocent has expanded its reach across the UK and continental Europe, maintaining its status as a leading B Corp certified smoothie producer.
