Following the Cuban Revolution, the family relocated and eventually established their prominent operations in Nicaragua, which remains the heart of their manufacturing today.

In 2016, the Oliva Cigar Company was acquired by J. Cortès Cigars, a Belgian family-owned company. This acquisition integrated the premium Nicaraguan handmade cigar tradition with the European cigar expertise of J. Cortès. Despite the change in ownership, the production of Master Blends remains focused in Estelí, Nicaragua, utilizing Nicaraguan Ligero fillers and broadleaf wrappers to maintain the full-bodied profile aficionados expect from the brand.
