Persol sunglasses

Persol is a luxury eyewear brand that has become synonymous with Italian craftsmanship and timeless style. Founded in 1917 by Giuseppe Ratti in Turin, Italy, the brand was originally created to serve the technical needs of pilots and sports drivers, leading to the development of early protective lenses.

One of the most defining characteristics of Persol sunglasses is the 'Supreme Arrow' on the hinge and the patented 'Meflecto' system, which was the world's first flexible stem designed to relieve pressure on the sides of the head. These features are visible on the tortoise-shell frames shown in the image, marking them as authentic pieces of the brand's heritage.

In 1995, Persol was acquired by the Luxottica Group. Today, the brand remains a symbol of high-end Italian manufacturing, with most production still localized in Italy.
