However, this partnership was dissolved globally starting in 2018, allowing Nestlé to take independent control of the brand in most territories.

In Spain, where the product shown in the image is typically found, the distribution landscape has seen significant changes. While Cocoa-Cola previously held the license to produce and distribute Nestea in the Spanish market for many years, that agreement concluded at the end of 2024. As of 2025, Nestlé remains the ultimate owner of the Nestea trademark, but it has partnered with the Spanish company S.A. Damm for local manufacturing and distribution. The product is primarily produced at Damm's facility in Salem, Valencia, ensuring the brand maintains its iconic presence in the Spanish market under Nestlé's ultimate ownership.
