The brand is famous for its iconic logo featuring two white elephants facing each other, a symbol of royal status and cultural significance in Thailand. Since its inception, Chang has evolved from its original higher-alcohol formulation to the 'Chang Classic' lager known today, which is brewed using high-quality malt, hops, and deep-well water.

Owned by the Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev), the brand's manufacturing is centered in state-of-the-art breweries in Thailand, including facilities in Ayutthaya and Kamphaeng Phet. To support its vast international footprint, particularly in Southeast Asia and Europe, the product is sometimes brewed under license or in regional facilities to ensure freshness. ThaiBev, controlled by the Sirivadhanabhakdi family, has grown into a regional powerhouse, acquiring various international spirit and beverage brands while maintaining Chang as its flagship beer product for the global market.
