While Hormel Foods remains the global owner and creator of the brand, manufacturing for the British market is handled under license in Europe. Specifically, the version of SPAM found in UK supermarkets, like the 200g tin shown, is produced in Denmark by the Danish Crown Group through its subsidiary Tulip Food Company (now rebranded as Danish Crown UK).

The recipe for the UK market is slightly distinct from the original American version, often including a tiny amount of potato starch to prevent the formation of gelatin around the meat, catering to local consumer preferences.
