Chocolates Hueso is an iconic Spanish confectionery brand with a history dating back to 1862. Founded by José María Hueso in Ateca (Zaragoza), the company started as an artisanal chocolate maker before modernizing its production at the turn of the century. It is most famous for developing 'Huesitos' in 1976, which became one of the most recognizable chocolate snacks in Spain.

Over the decades, the ownership of the brand has transitioned from the founding family to international corporations. In 1989, it was acquired by the British multinational Cadbury Schweppes (later Kraft Foods/Mondelez). However, in 2013, to comply with competition regulations during the Kraft-Mondelez split and restructuring, the brand and its historic Ateca factory were sold to the Spanish company Chocolates Valor. Today, the products are manufactured in their original location in Ateca, ensuring the local heritage of the brand remains intact under Spanish ownership.
