Codorníu Cava

Codorníu is one of the world's oldest wine-producing families, with a legacy in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Spain, dating back to 1551. The brand is credited with producing the first bottle of Spanish sparkling wine using the traditional method in 1872, effectively founding the Cava industry. Today, its historic cellars are a national monument and remain the primary site for production.

In 2018, the majority ownership of the Raventós Codorníu group transitioned from the founding family to the American investment firm Carlyle Group. Despite this change in corporate ownership, the brand maintains its deep-rooted identity in Catalonia, emphasizing traditional viticulture and sustainable practices within the Penedès region. The group continues to be a global leader in high-end sparkling wines, exporting to over 100 countries.
