Cloer is a traditional German brand specializing in small electrical kitchen appliances. Founded in 1898 by Caspar Cloer in Neheim-Hüsten, the company originally started as a toolmaking shop before evolving into a world-renowned manufacturer of waffle makers and contact grills.
Over the decades, Cloer became a household name in Germany, particularly famous for its heart-shaped waffle irons which dominated the European market. While the engineering and design concepts remain rooted in Germany, manufacturing has largely shifted to Asia (primarily China) to maintain global competitiveness. The brand is currently managed by the fourth generation of the Cloer family, maintaining its status as an independent, family-owned business focused on quality and functional design.
