Mondelēz International is a global leader in the snacking industry, formed in 2012 as a result of the spin-off of Kraft Foods Inc.'s global snacks and confectionery business. The company's heritage traces back to the National Dairy Products Corporation (founded in 1923) and the original Kraft cheese business started by James L. Kraft in 1903.

Mondelēz operates a vast manufacturing network with production facilities located in approximately 160 countries to serve its global market. Its portfolio includes some of the world's most iconic brands such as Oreo, Cadbury, Milka, Toblerone, and Ritz. While many of its brands have deep historical roots in the United Kingdom or Europe (like Cadbury and Milka), the modern corporate entity is a publicly traded American multinational.

The company's ownership is widely distributed among public shareholders and institutional investors, with major holdings typically managed by firms like The Vanguard Group and BlackRock. In 2012, the North American grocery business of the former Kraft Foods was separated into a new company (now Kraft Heinz), leaving Mondelēz International to focus exclusively on high-growth global snacks.
