Selleys is a household name in the Australian construction and DIY market, known for its extensive range of sealants, adhesives, and fillers. The Selleys 650FC featured here is a high-performance hybrid adhesive sealant designed for fast curing and heavy-duty bonding in both interior and exterior environments. The brand is famous for the long-standing slogan, 'If it's Selleys, it works,' reflecting its reliability in the home improvement sector.
The brand was founded in Australia by Martin Selley in 1939. Over the decades, Selleys transformed from a local manufacturer into a market leader throughout the Oceania and Southeast Asia regions. In 1959, Selleys was acquired by DuluxGroup (then known as BALM Paints), which eventually became a standalone Australian public company after demerging from Orica in 2010.
In 2019, DuluxGroup, including the Selleys brand, was acquired by the Japanese multinational Nippon Paint Holdings. Today, while Selleys continues to operate as a key business unit under the DuluxGroup umbrella, its ultimate ownership resides in Japan. Manufacturing primarily takes place in Australia—specifically at the company's advanced production facilities in New South Wales—though global supply chains may involve products sourced from international facilities to meet regional demands.
