Black Crows is a high-performance ski brand born in Chamonix, France, in 2006. Founded by professional skiers Camille Jaccoux and Bruno Compagnet, along with industrialist Christophe Villemin, the brand was created to fill a gap in the market for skis that combined powder-friendly design with the ability to handle high-speed turns in the rugged terrain of the Mont Blanc massif.
While the brand's heart and design office remain in the French Alps, the actual production of the skis is outsourced to specialized factories in Europe to ensure technical precision. Most models are manufactured in well-known facilities in Austria (such as the Fischer factory) and Slovenia (Elan factory), which are global hubs for premium ski construction. In 2023, the brand reached a new milestone when the luxury investment firm Kering took a majority stake in the company, positioning it alongside other high-end fashion and lifestyle brands while maintaining its core identity as a technical mountain brand.
