Alyonka (Alenka) is one of the most iconic milk chocolate brands in Russia and the former Soviet Union. It was first launched in 1965 by the Krasny Oktyabr (Red October) confectionery factory in Moscow. The product was developed as part of a Soviet food program specifically to create a mass-market, affordable, and high-quality milk chocolate for citizens. The famous wrapper features a portrait of a blue-eyed girl in a headscarf, based on a photograph of Elena Gerinas, the daughter of a factory worker.

Today, the brand remains a cultural symbol and is produced by the Krasny Oktyabr factory, which is now part of the United Confectioners (Obyedinennye Konditery) holding. Manufacturing primarily takes place in Russia, with distribution extending throughout Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and specialized international markets. The brand has survived the transition from a state-owned Soviet enterprise to a large-scale commercial entity while maintaining its original creamy recipe and nostalgic visual identity.
