Château Rauzan-Ségla is a highly regarded winery located in the Margaux appellation of the Bordeaux region in France. It is classified as a Deuxième Cru (Second Growth) in the historic 1855 classification and represents one of the historical pillars of French winemaking.
The estate's history dates back to 1661 when Pierre de Rauzan acquired the property. Over the centuries, the vineyard changed hands multiple times and was divided. A significant turning point came in 1994 when the estate was purchased by the Wertheimer family, the owners of the luxury fashion house Chanel. Under their leadership, the château underwent extensive renovations to restore its reputation for producing world-class wines characterized by the classic Margaux profile of finesse and longevity.
