Odol is a legendary brand in the oral hygiene sector, famously recognized for its unique curved bottle design. The brand was originally created in Germany in 1892 by Karl August Lingner, who introduced it as the first liquid mouthwash. It quickly became a household name due to its refreshing properties and medical-grade marketing.
Over the decades, the brand's ownership shifted through various mergers. It was originally part of Lingner-Werke, then Beecham, which later became part of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). In 2022, GSK spun off its consumer healthcare division into a new independent company called Haleon. Today, Haleon is the ultimate owner of Odol, managing it as part of its global oral health portfolio. Manufacturing still maintains a strong presence in Germany to serve the core European market, ensuring the brand's heritage remains connected to its originating region.
