Moo Brew is a prominent Australian craft brewery that began its journey in 2005. It was founded by David Walsh, the professional gambler and art collector famous for creating MONA (Museum of Old and New Art). Originally located on the site of the Moorilla Estate winery in Berriedale, Tasmania, the brewery eventually expanded its operations to a larger facility in Bridgewater to meet growing demand.
The brand is widely recognized for its high-quality ingredients and iconic label artwork, which often features designs by Australian artist John Kelly. The Pale Ale is one of their flagship offerings, brewed using a blend of American Centennial and Tasmanian-grown Cascade hops, reflecting its strong connection to the local Tasmanian agricultural landscape.
Moo Brew remains an independent Tasmanian brand under the ownership of David Walsh. It has successfully maintained its craft identity while scaling distribution across Australia, remaining a staple of the Hobart craft beer scene and a frequent partner for cultural events at the MONA museum.
