Ghost Lifestyle Brand History

Ghost Lifestyle, commonly known simply as Ghost, was founded in 2016 by Dan Lourenco and Ryan Hughes. The brand quickly distinguished itself in the fitness and supplement industry by being the first 'lifestyle' brand to focus on transparency (full disclosure labels) and authentic collaborations with iconic food brands like Sour Patch Kids, Warheads, and Oreo.

Manufacturing and Global Reach

While Ghost began as a sports nutrition supplement company, it expanded into the ready-to-drink (RTD) market with the launch of Ghost Energy. The beverage line is primarily manufactured in the United States. Through a massive distribution partnership with Keurig Dr Pepper, the product has become widely available across North America and is expanding into international markets.

Ownership and Strategic Partnership

Today, Ghost is a major player in the energy category. In 2024, Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) reached an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Ghost, with plans to eventually acquire the remaining interest. This partnership leverages KDP's extensive distribution network while allowing the original founders to maintain the creative direction and authentic marketing style that defined the brand's rise.
