Fernandes is a highly popular soft drink brand with deep cultural roots in Suriname, where it was founded in 1939 by Isaac Fernandes. Originally starting as a local bottling company, the brand became synonymous with Caribbean fruit-flavored sodas. The 'Cherry Bouquet' flavor is one of its signature varieties, known for its distinctively sweet and floral cherry profile.
Today, the brand's presence is particularly strong in the Netherlands due to the historical ties between the two countries. While the beverage originated in Suriname under Fernandes Bottling Company, the European production and distribution rights were acquired by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners. Consequently, most of the Fernandes products found on European shelves are manufactured in the Netherlands, while the Surinamese market continues to be served by the original local bottling plant.
