Paneangeli is an iconic Italian brand synonymous with home baking and confectionery. Originally founded in 1932 by Ettore Paneangeli in Genoa, the brand gained nationwide fame for its vanillin-flavored yeast (Lievito Pane degli Angeli). It is particularly well-known for its distinctive blue and white packaging and the angel motif that features across its product range.
The product is primarily manufactured in Italy, maintaining the traditional recipes that have made it a staple in Italian kitchens for nearly a century. Over time, the brand expanded from its original leavening agents to include a wide variety of decorations, flours, and specialized ingredients for both sweet and savory baking.
Today, Paneangeli is part of the Cameo group in Italy, which is the local subsidiary of the German multinational Dr. August Oetker KG. This ownership transition has allowed the brand to modernise its distribution while preserving its deep-rooted identity as the premier choice for Italian homemade desserts and pastries.
