It rose to global prominence by being one of the first brands to offer aluminum capsules compatible with Nespresso® coffee machines. Today, L'OR is owned by JDE Peet's, a leading pure-play coffee and tea company. JDE Peet's was formed through various mergers, ultimately bringing together the iconic Jacobs Douwe Egberts and Peet's Coffee brands. The company is headquartered in the Netherlands and is largely controlled by the investment firm JAB Holding Company.
