Tuborg Green

Tuborg is an iconic international beer brand that originated in Hellerup, Denmark. Founded in 1873 by Carl Frederik Tietgen, the brewery was named after Thuesborg, a 17th-century local inn. It initially gained popularity for producing the first pilsner-type beer in Denmark, known as Tuborg Green, which remains its flagship product today. The brand is famous for its cultural presence, particularly its association with music festivals and its innovative 'pull-off' bottle caps.

In 1894, Tuborg entered into a partnership and eventual merger with United Breweries, which eventually led to a merger with its biggest rival, Carlsberg, in 1970. Today, Tuborg is one of the leading international brands within the Carlsberg Group portfolio. Because of its global reach, Tuborg is brewed under license in over 70 countries, including major markets in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Asia, ensuring freshness through local production facilities while maintaining the original Danish quality standards.
