Jamo loudspeaker

Jamo is a renowned Danish brand specializing in the design and manufacture of high-quality loudspeakers and audio equipment. Founded in 1968 by Preben Jacobsen and Julius Mortensen in Glyngøre, Denmark, the brand name is a portmanteau of the founders' surnames.

Starting as a small workshop, Jamo grew to become one of Europe's largest speaker manufacturers. In 2005, the brand was acquired by Klipsch Group, Inc., which subsequently became a subsidiary of the American conglomerate VOXX International. While the acoustic design and innovation often trace back to the brand's Danish roots and European engineering standards, modern high-volume manufacturing is primarily carried out in China to optimize production costs while maintaining global distribution channels.
