Nando's PERi-naise Mild

Nando's PERi-naise is a popular condiment that blends the brand's signature African Bird's Eye Chilli (Peri-Peri) with creamy mayonnaise. The brand was originally founded in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1987 by Fernando Duarte and Robbie Brozin, who were inspired by the Portuguese-African flavors found in local eateries.

Today, while Nando's is a global restaurant phenomenon, its grocery products—often referred to as 'Nando's at Home'—are widely distributed through partnerships. Most of the bottled sauces and condiments sold in the UK and European markets are manufactured in the Netherlands to ensure consistency and high production standards. The brand remains under the ultimate ownership of the Yellowwoods Group, a private investment firm controlled by the Enthoven family, which is headquartered in South Africa.
