Rothmans cigarettes

Rothmans is one of the most historic and globally recognized British cigarette brands. Founded in 1890 by Louis Rothman in London, the brand quickly established a reputation for luxury and quality, eventually becoming a purveyor to royal households. Its heritage is deeply rooted in London's famous Pall Mall district.

Today, the brand is owned and managed by British American Tobacco (BAT), one of the world's largest tobacco companies. Over the decades, Rothmans has expanded its global footprint and is now manufactured in numerous facilities worldwide to serve international markets. Ownership transitioned from the original Rothmans International company through mergers until it was acquired by British American Tobacco in 1999. In some regions, Phillip Morris International may hold specific licensing or legacy rights, but BAT remains the primary global owner.
