Capture One is a professional-grade photo editing and image management software renowned for its high-quality RAW conversion and tethered shooting capabilities. Originally developed by Phase One, a Danish manufacturer of high-end medium format camera systems, the software was created to optimize the output of their digital backs. In 2019, Capture One was separated from the Phase One camera business to operate as a focused software entity. This transition was supported by the acquisition of a majority stake in the company by Axcel, a Nordic private equity firm. Today, Capture One remains headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, where it continues to lead innovation in color grading and workflow efficiency for photographers worldwide.
