The brand was originally established by Charles and Maximillian Fleischmann in Cincinnati, Ohio, but the ownership structure has evolved significantly over the decades. Today, the Fleischmann’s brand is part of the ACH Food Companies portfolio. This parent company is itself a subsidiary of Associated British Foods (ABF), a global diversified food, ingredients, and retail group. While the corn starch sold in Canada and the US is often produced in regional facilities to serve those specific markets, the global oversight remains with ABF in the United Kingdom.
