Fentimans Gently Sparkling Elderflower is a premium botanical beverage renowned for its traditional brewing methods. The brand's history dates back to 1905 when Thomas Fentiman, an ironworker from Cleckheaton, England, was given a recipe for botanically brewed ginger beer as security for a loan. The loan was never repaid, so Thomas began door-to-door delivery of the beverage using a horse and cart, establishing the family business.

Today, the brand's manufacturing process remains deeply rooted in its heritage, utilizing a multi-stage botanical brewing technique that lasts for seven days. This process involves the infusion of botanical ingredients, followed by fermentation and carbonation. Most of the production takes place in the United Kingdom, specifically in the North East of England.

Fentimans remains a family-owned enterprise, currently overseen by Eldon Robson, the great-grandson of Thomas Fentiman. Unlike many competitors in the soft drink industry, Fentimans has maintained its independence and has not been acquired by a global conglomerate, preserving its status as a boutique British beverage brand with a global presence.
