While the company's headquarters, research and development, and some logistics operations remain in Sundern, Germany, the majority of the manufacturing for its appliances, including its line of microwave ovens, has been relocated to China to remain competitive in the global market. Since 2015, the company has been under the ownership of the Knauf family, following its acquisition from the founding Severin family. The Knauf family is a prominent German entrepreneurial family primarily known for the global Knauf Group, ensuring the brand remains under German ownership while maintaining a global manufacturing footprint.
