Severin is a long-standing German brand, well-known for manufacturing household appliances that bridge the gap between quality and affordability. Founded in Sundern, Germany, the company initially produced simple metal goods before expanding into electrical kitchen appliances.

Today, while the brand maintains its headquarters, engineering standards, and some high-end production in Germany, the majority of its manufacturing has transitioned to specialized facilities in China to optimize global logistics. Ownership has evolved as well; in 2018, the Knauf family (associated with the Knauf Group) took creative and financial control of the company. The brand remains a staple in European kitchens, particularly in the French and German markets, recognized for its compact and efficient designs like the 17L model shown.
