Enervit is a leading Italian brand in the sports nutrition and functional food sector. Founded in 1954 by Dr. Paolo Sorbini, the company began as a pharmaceutical business before specializing in products specifically designed for athletes and active lifestyles. The brand became a pioneer in the 1970s and 80s by introducing scientifically-backed nutritional strategies for major sporting events, including professional cycling and marathons.

The majority of Enervit's production is carried out in-house at its specialized manufacturing facilities in Italy. These include a historic plant in Zelbio, located in the Pian del Tivano at high altitude, and a modern Industry 4.0 plant in Erba. This vertical integration allows the brand to maintain strict control over its entire supply chain, from research and development to final production. Enervit remains an independent public company listed on the Italian Stock Exchange (Borsa Italiana), with the Sorbini family maintaining a significant leadership role through their holding company.
